Welcome to my website.
Whether you are a parent, foster carer, grandparent, guardian, early childhood teacher, primary school teacher, special needs teacher, author or parent-to-be this page will have information for you.
Activities, information and research cater for newborns to independent readers and writers.
Click on the tabs above or links below to find a variety of information, activities and research to help your child/student to develop their reading and writing skills to their greatest potential.
Books are an important part of children’s reading and writing development. Click on the below links or above tabs for free book activities and educational reviews.
Sound Spy – Students develop from learning most common sounds to more complex spelling variations. Sound Spy helps children look at words (be a spy) and investigate the letter/s which make each of the 44 sounds in the English Language.
Spelling Stories – There are some words which are tricky in the English Language for children to learn. I have created stories to use with your child or students to help them retain the correct spelling of some of the tricky words.
abcCharlie/abcTommy are my two sons. At the age of 6 and 7, they would like to share their book reviews, author interviews and own stories. This page will be filled with their own ideas, so I am not really sure where it will lead. Posts will begin in 2016.
Please note, I have 20 years of teaching experience, 8 years of parenting ‘experience’ and hundreds of ideas in my head. This website is continually updated. If you would like daily activities and information on children’s reading and writing development please head to my Facebook page abcJenny
